BONNEY LAKE, Wash. – Jordan Wagner scored 6 goals as Bainbridge Island rolled over Lake Tapps 21 – 1 in their first game of the Boys Division I high school lacrosse season, Thursday at Bonney Lake High School. Josh Parker scored the lone goal for Lake Tapps.

Curtis tallies 16 in Stadium rout
TACOMA, Wash. – Quinn Moody scored 4 goals and collected 8 ground balls to lead Curtis to a 16 – 2 Boys Division I lacrosse rout of cross-town rival Stadium, Thursday at Curtis High School. Bryce Bucey and Martin Park each scored for Stadium.

Klahowya tops NK in boys lacrosse
SILVERDALE, Wash. – Caleb Hiller scored 4 goals as Klahowya topped North Kitsap 15 – 4, in Boys Division II high school lacrosse Thursday at Central Kitsap Junior High School. Goaltender Nehemiah Salo had 11 saves in the win advancing Klahowya to 2-1-0 on the season. North Kitsap dropped to 0-1-0.

BURLINGTON, Wash. – Daniel Hernandez scored a hat trick to help Whatcom slip past Skagit Valley 6 -5 in Boys Division II high school lacrosse, Thursday at Skagit River Park in Burlington. Whatcom’s Kyle Scott and Austin Billiot combined for a total of 14 ground balls in the win.

SNOQUALMIE, Wash. – Cody Bernstein and Cooper Ramstead each scored 3 goals as Lake Washington blanked Mt. Si 17 – 0 in Boys Division II high school lacrosse, Thursday at Snoqualmie Middle School. In the win, Jake Berstein grabbed 10 ground balls for Lake Washington.

South Kitsap’s TJ Pullkrabek collected 13 ground balls and David Gibson had 10 in the loss. South’s Ben Landry had 24 saves in goal.

MERCER ISLAND, Wash. -- Issaquah’s Haley Mincin scored 6 goals and sister Katie Mincin scored 5 as the Eagles blasted Mercer Island 17 – 7 in Girls Division II high school lacrosse, Thursday at Islander Stadium on Mercer Island. Teagan Cameron turned away 9 shots in goal for the Eagles. In the loss, the Islanders’ Dulce Moll scored a hat trick.

About High School Lacrosse in Washington State
Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the U.S. and in Washington State the sport has seen double-digit growth in six of the last eight years. In 2010, over 2,700 high school students representing 83 boys (www.WHSBLA.org) and 55 girls (www.WSLAX.org) varsity and jv teams in eastern and western Washington compete in a nine-week season March – May. The annual Boys and Girls Washington State High School Championships take place in late May.
