Washington high school lacrosse scores for Thursday, April 15Boys Division I
Northshore lax hands Curtis 2nd lossBOTHELL, Wash. – Inglemoor junior Foster Wisman scored 5 goals and collected 8 ground balls to lead Northshore to a 12 – 7 Boys Division I high school lacrosse win, Thursday at Bothell High School. Wisman’s goals gave the league’s second leading scorer 21 goals on the season. Scott Barclay had 4 goals and Taylor Wisman had 13 ground balls as Northshore advanced to 5-2-0. Quinn Moody had 3 goals as Curtis dropped their second game of the season for a 6-2-0 record.

Comcast On-Demand Game: Bellevue boys survive late Bainbridge goals for lax winBELLEVUE, Wash. – Senior attackman Ryan Deal scored 4 goals as Bellevue survived a late-game comeback to hang on for an 8 – 7 Boys Division I high school lacrosse win, Thursday at Bellevue High School. With the Wolverines leading 8 – 3, Bainbridge scored 4 goals in the final 4 minutes of play to come within a goal, but was unable to get the equalizer as time expired. Austin Boyd had 11 saves in goal for the Wolverines who advanced to 10-2-0 for first place in the NE Conference. Jordan Wagner had 3 goals and an assist for the Spartans, which evened their record at 5-5-0. The game was televised and available on demand through Comcast.

Mukilteo tops Tacoma in boys lacrosseMUKILTEO, Wash. – Senior midfielder Mitchell Beck scored three goals as Mukilteo topped Tacoma 12 – 7 in Boys Division I high school lacrosse, Thursday at Kamiak High School. Beck’s hat trick gave him 10 goals on the season as Mukilteo got their 4th win of the season. Alec Stewart had 3 goals and 5 ground balls for Tacoma, which dropped to 2-5-0.

Boys Division II
Late Bennett goal lifts Stanwood past LynnwoodSTANWOOD, Wash. – Sophomore midfielder Kyle Bennett found the net with 1 minute remaining in regulation to give Stanwood a 10 – 9 Boys Division II high school lacrosse win over Lynwood, Thursday at Stanwood Middle School. Bennett beat Lynwood goalkeeper David Dekoukouk for his 4th goal of the night, giving him 14 on the season. The win was Stanwood’s fifth on the season and first over Lynwood. Trey Knowles had 4 goals and Alex Tindall had 3 as 7-2-0 Lynwood dropped just its first league game of the season.

PA nets 12 in lacrosse win over Gig HarborPORT ANGELES, Wash. – Senior attackman Montania Collins scored his first six goals of the season to lift Port Angeles to a 12 – 6 Boys Division II high school lacrosse win over Gig Harbor, Thursday at the Storm King Soccer Fields in Port Angeles. PA junior Jacob Dostie contributed to the PA win with 4 goals and 4 ground balls. Cody Olson and Nate Ashton each had 2 goals for Gig Harbor. Port Angeles is now 4-3-0 on the season while Gig Harbor dropped to 2-5-0.

Smith’s 2OT goal lifts North over South in Kitsap lacrosse battlePORT ORCHARD, Wash. – North Kitsap attackman Colter Smith blasted a shot past South Kitsap goaltender Ben Landry with 1:58 remaining in the second overtime to give North Kitsap a Boys Division II high school lacrosse win, Thursday at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Port Orchard. With time running down in the 4-minute overtime period, Smith carried the ball into the Wolves’ zone and fired the winner from the top of the box for his second goal of the night and seventh of the season. The sudden-death win advanced North to 2-4-0 in the Olympic Conference, while South dropped to 1-4-0. Chaz Zacharof had 9 saves for the Vikings. David Gibson had 2 goals and 12 ground balls for the Wolves.

Warren’s 10 goals carry 7-0 Lakeside past Tacoma SEATTLE – Senior captain Sylvia Warren scored a season high 10 goals to carry undefeated Lakeside to a 23 – 11 Girls Division I high school lacrosse win over Tacoma, Thursday at the Lakeside Upper School in north Seattle. Emmy Armintrout contributed 5 goals and Sarah Pollnow added 4 in the Lions 7th win of the season. Garbrielle Davis had 3 goals and Charlie Cisacowski had 7 saves for Tacoma which dropped its third straight for a 3-3-0 record.

Mary Sesslar had 4 goals for the Panthers, who advanced to 4-3-1 on the season. Linnea Whisman had 3 goals and Barite Dawud ahd 9 saves in goal for the 2-5-0 Bulldogs in their fourth straight loss.

Walters 6 goals gave her 16 on the season. Kortney Hudak and Amanda Johnson each had 2 goals as winless Curtis dropped their seventh straight game.

About High School Lacrosse in Washington StateLacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the U.S. and in Washington State the sport has seen double-digit growth in six of the last eight years. In 2010, over 2,700 high school students representing 83 boys (www.WHSBLA.org) and 55 girls (www.WSLAX.org) varsity and jv teams in eastern and western Washington compete in a nine-week season March – May. The annual Boys and Girls Washington State High School Championships take place in late May.
