Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the US and in Washington state has continued the trend of double-digit annual growth in recent years. With over 35-years of local history there are now more than 12,000 Chapter members across the State. Lacrosse is played at all levels from youth through post collegiate club leagues. There is lacrosse available state-wide, but primary participation continues to center around the Puget Sound metropolitan area stretching in all directions. Other areas with strong and growing programs include the Tri-Cities (Southeast Washington), Wenatchee, Spokane, Bellingham, and Vancouver.
Your local chapter (a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization) supports the development, growth, and integrity of the game of lacrosse in the State. The organization hosts annual local coaches conventions, education and training sessions for coaches, and special events such as the Seatown Classic and in past years produced the state HS Championships. In recent years, the respective governing bodies for boys and girls high school lacrosse have taken over production of the Championships.
The Chapter Board meets quarterly and the first 15 minutes of Chapter meetings are open to all members of US Lacrosse. If you are interested in attending, please contact the Chapter via e-mail so we reserve appropriate time to address matters of interest.
